Buying Double Garage Plans Cheap

Whenever you need to get a plan for a new garage or a redesign of an old garage you are left with several options. The first options is definitely the cheapest one but unless you're really talented you will probably also find it to be the most difficult because the options is to make the plans yourself. Now unless you're trained in garage design I would recommend it.

Next you can go but a pre-designed double garage plan but even though it'll come much cheaper that if you need a special design made you will most likely not be completely satisfied and especially not if you're looking to build a garage that will match your home. It is very unlikely that you'll find a garage that will fit the design of your house.

Finally you can contact a company that do garage plans for a living. If you find their prices to be higher than what you want to pay you can always go find an architect student and ask them whether they would be willing to design a double garage for you. Most of them will be short on cash as they're studying and they'll be more than willing to help you out. You do have to remember though that they are STUDENTS and not yet fully equipped to be an architect.

Perfect garage building kits

Now that Christmas has almost passed I thought it was time to make yet another post about the concept of garage building kits as that is one of the easiest ways to build your own garage.

If you're looking to build a new garage and you don't want to pay professionals to do it for you and you might not feel that you have the skills required to design, draw and actually construct a building that will safely house your car then you can get one of the pre-manufactured ones which are also know as building kits.

Most of these construction kits are made out of steel and they come with a complete step by step guide that you can easily follow. You might require to get some tools to make it easier on yourself but the fact that you can follow the guide makes it so much easier.

One of the only disadvantages I see when doing garage building this way is that these garages jsut doesn't look quite as nice as the ones you build of either wood or with brick. Steel will always have a more industrial and cold look but if that is okay with you then a garage kit might just be both the best and the cheapest solution.

Finding architects

I find that whether you're building a garage or any other building for that matter, that if you need to hire an architect then you'll have to spend a significant amount before having the final result in your hand.

As least I know that this is the case for buildings that are just a little of the "standard". I understand that nothing is for free and it should be free but on the other hand I can see why the cost of the drawings should be able to amount to almost half of the total constrution price.

Am I the only one experiencing this?

Need more space in your garage?

I know that there are thousands if not millions of people that use their garages as storage space and that it a great solution. But often times you'll also find families that have taken up so much storage space in the garage that the car has to be left outside.

That is not the purpose my friends. I know that it isn't much fun cleaning up and tossing out your old stuff but you really need to do it. The next step will be to built an even greater garage to store your junk in and that is when it becomes really insane.

If you're already traveling the road towards disaster and your car is sleeping in the streets then pull yourself together and spend the next weekend you have available to clean up the garage.

Using a building kit

Have you ever wondered how some people are able to put up a garage or a shed in a matter of days? You'll even see people build 2 and 3 car garages within a very few days. It might seem like magic but it actually isn't.

The thing they're using is called a garage building kit and is not much different from kits you buy for children or the IKEA furtune you buy. You get a lot of pieces, bolts and bits and then a drawing showing you how to put it all together.

I'm not saying that it is super easy and that everyone can do it but it sure beats trying to do it all yourself. So if you're not a super handyman I suggest that you at least look into the option of a building kit.

This blog is all about constructing your own carports, garages, shed and anything in between. As I am going to share with you in the coming months and years there is a lot of things that goes into even the smallest construtions.

But before I get this far I would just like to tell you that if I in future posts are talking to you like it is only something that men can do I appologize. Garage building is for anyone that wants to do it and women can be just as good at it as men. Most of the time, however, we'll it to be men doing this type of work.

To show that this was true I've tried to find some pictures of women building a garage but it wasn't possible. So unfortunately you'll just have to take my word for it. :)
